TOBACCO LEGISLATION
The MATCH Coalition works with the General Assembly to pass tobacco prevention and control policies to protect the public health of Connecticut’s residents. The Coalition testifies at public hearings and meets with individual legislators to talk about our mission.
Here is the legislation we are advocating for during the 2017 legislative session:
- increasing the sale age of tobacco to 21
- expanded coverage for cessation
- prohibiting smoking in all workplaces in Connecticut
- voluntary policies that reduce the initiation and use of tobacco products and the harm associated with them.
